Food For Thought Denver is a non-profit organization that helps feed hungry school children in the Denver Metro area. Started by Bob Bell and John Thielen after they saw how many hungry children there were in Denver. Many kids only eat while at school and their families don’t have the income to provide food during the weekend or summer. Every Friday morning, rain or shine, a group of volunteers pack food that is transported and delivered to Denver area schools.
We donated our time to this wonderful cause after hearing about the organization. We wanted to make sure that people were aware that hungry children are even in their own backyards. We had 1 day to shoot an interview with Food For Thought Denver’s crew, the packing and delivery to the schools. It was a very tight schedule, but our focus was on spreading the word, not shooting something high budget looking. The message is a strong one and the video helped gain more awareness and led to local news stations covering this wonderful non-profit.
